The Singleton Council Local Government Area (LGA) covers an area of 4,893 square kilometres and has a population of approximately 22,500. Singleton is located in the heart of the Hunter Valley region about 80 kilometres west from the City of Newcastle.

The heart of Singleton is the community that lives here. There are many environmental issues that affect how we live here in Singleton. The Council is actively involved in a variety of programs with the community to enhance and empower the community to create a great area and environment to live in.
